From boots and jeans to heels and pearls…

I’m a country girl at heart, and I began my real estate career in rural South Texas’s Live Oak County in 1999. I was fortunate to cut my teeth in a career that I quickly fell in love with. Under the auspices of a highly experienced broker who specialized in South Texas working and recreational ranches, I gleaned vast knowledge in this industry, and I continue to put that knowledge to work for my farm and ranch clients.

I later moved to Victoria and joined the Woolson Real Estate family. With the expert guidance of Woolson broker, Nancy Garner, I added residential sales to my farm and ranch knowledge base. Some days were a boots and jeans day, and some days were a heels and pearls day.

In 2006, life moved me to Houston. I shucked the boots and jeans and traded them for heels and pearls as I embarked upon a new aspect in my real estate career. For the next 14 years, I was privileged to work alongside one of Houston’s top producing real estate agents who specialized in luxury residential properties in the city’s most economically advantaged neighborhoods. Certainly, this long stint represented quite a change in the types of properties I was marketing, but what remained unchanged was my downhome and small-town grassroots demeanor—a disposition which was well-received by even the most affluent of my clientele. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work with such an honorable and qualified industry leader in Houston, and I will use that experience to provide the same honorable quality of service to all my clients today.

My work ethic and down-to-earth business acumen is also attributed to my upbringing. I grew up knowing, “There’s no time like the present,” and “If a job is worth doing, it’s worth doing well.” (Oh! how many times did I hear that?) Those mantras stuck, and I naturally strive to exceed my clients’ expectations without hesitation. I thank the many positive influences that have graced my life and bestowed these traits.

From heels and pearls, back to boots and jeans…

As world events took hold in early 2020, I realized it was time to move on to the next chapter and to Jackson County. I put the heels and pearls on the shelf and dusted off those trusty boots and tried to get back into those jeans. I have always believed it is best to “bloom where you are planted,” and my hometown taproot has always been—and will always be—Jackson County. After all, you can take the girl out of the country, but you can’t take the country out of the girl.
